Without funding, our clean energy research stands still. Every dollar helps!
Please consider donating $50 now.
Since we are a non-profit organization, your donation is tax deductable. Your federal taxes will be reduced by a percentage of the amount you donate.
Your donation will go directly to solar research and possibly directly into a solar power plant. Once our prototypes are working, we hope to immediately begin building solar power plants. The size of the plants we can build are dependent upon how much YOU give.
We are extremely grateful of your donation. Don't stop there. Tell a friend. If you can help fundraise, PLEASE contact us! The more funds we have the more solar power plants we can create.
The first project with our solar steam engine is to produce a working 10 horsepower prototype. The average American home uses roughly 29 KWh per day. That means if a solar steam engine can turn a 10 horsepower motor for roughly 5 hours a day, it produces enough energy to offset the average home in the United States. This is an 'offset', we're not attempting to create a system to take a house off the grid. This design does not store energy in batteries. It ties into the grid spinning a meter backwards.
The completed parts for our first project will actually cost far less than $10,000. We're estimating this size system will cost between $2000-$3000. Although to get this first prototype off the ground, we have additional tooling costs.
Help us get this project off the ground, donate $50 then tell a friend to match your donation.
Our second goal is to produce a working 100 horsepower solar steam engine prototype. This is a large system. It is not a backyard project simply because the energy it produces is considerable, enough to offset the power of about 10 homes with 5 hours of operation per day. We won't know until we finish phase 1, but we expect it will take up around 3-4 backyards worth of sunshine.
Again, we expect this system to cost less than $60,000. But at this size, we need consulting help from professional engineers to ensure the system operates safely.
Our third project is to max out the allowable limit for net metering. Each state has its own rules for net metering, but a common rule across numerous states is that businesses are limited to 500KW to fall within the net metering rules. Beyond this size and we have to make special deals with the power companies.
This system will hopefully just be a matter of combining 7 of our 100 HP systems together. We will lease a piece of farmland to provide us with the space for the collectors. Again, we don't know how much acreage is necessary to produce a 1/2 Megawatt with this design. Help us fund our first 2 projects so we can proceed with this very exciting project.
Not only will we release the construction plans to the world for how to create these power plants, we will create our own. The power plants we produce and manage will create an income stream which we will use to further clean energy research and make more solar power plants. This is a win-win for everyone.
If we can acheive this goal it is as if you are donating to us multiple times! Make a difference right now and donate $25 to solar research!
